After much contemplation, we have a good idea for what the arm will look like. It’s planned to be made of a motor, servo, sheets of acrylic, and two C-Channels, as well as a material akin to friction tape. The design has two parts to it: a mechanism that grabs onto the wobble goal and another that orients the grabbing mechanism and wobble goal. The grabbing mechanism latches onto the pipe of the wobble goal, first getting it into a position with a fixed piece and then securing it there with a rotating bit. The fixed piece is contoured to be driven into the [synonym for wobble goal] with ease. The orienting mechanism then rotates the grabber and the goal upward through rotation so that it can be moved around the field and over the perimeter EFFORTLESSLY. Next up on the agenda is refining and assembling these parts together.
